Combatting Antisemitism
The Bay Area Jewish Coalition Education and Advocacy (BAJC-EA) is a grassroots organization with the mission of ensuring that Jews can thrive and live safely in the Bay Area.
As citizens and residents of this vibrant community, we are deeply concerned about the alarming rise in antisemitism in our neighborhoods. Many of us have called the Bay Area home for many years and have never before witnessed the level of hate and organized attacks that we see today.
We deliver impact!
In the 2023-24, we tracked and reported antisemitic incidents in schools and worked with other grassroots groups to create a centralized system, which assists families in advocating for their students and resolving issues, like assistance submitting complaints to schools districts, county boards of education, California Department of Education (CDE), and the Office of Civil Rights in the federal Department of Education.
We provided legal support to students and families impacted by antisemitism in educational institutions. We worked with other grassroots groups to create a centralized system that assisted families in advocating for their students and resolving issues at the school district, county, and federal levels.
We anticipate more antisemitic incidents in K-12 schools during the 2024-25 school year and will continue to support Jewish families in managing them so they feel safe and included in their schools. In addition, we will be working on policies and training to prevent such incidents in the first place by collaborating with local educational leaders at all levels.

Over 200 antisemitic incidents have been reported in our area between October 2023 and May 2024:
rogue teachers promoting false propaganda in their classrooms
schools adopting radical ethnic studies curriculum
students harassed, bullied, and discriminatorily punished by the administration
Your support is crucial to our efforts. Donations will fund key activities such as legal support for youth and their families fighting antisemitic incidents, education and advocacy for school and education staff and boards and other local activities to protect and strengthen our community.
